ベルギーには、「ランビック」と呼ばれる種類のビールが古くから作られています。ランビックは、ベルギーのある地域の自然界に生息する野生の酵母や微生物を用いた、自然発酵による醸造方法で製造されるビールで、チェリーを材料にして作るランビックもあります。また、ベルギーには、フルーツをベースにしたビールを作る醸造所が数多くあり、果汁から作るフルーツビールと、ブレンド専用のビールを製造しています。このフルーツのビールとブレンド用ビールを混ぜ合わせると、フルーツから作るランビックに非常に良く似た、とても美味しいビールが出来上がります。
私たちBeer Hornのチェリーホーン™は、後者のブレンドする方式で醸造した、ベルギースタイルのフルーツビールです。このビールのためだけに麦芽とホップを特別にブレンドし、酸味の効いたドライなベースビールをまず作ります。 チェリーの美味しさを引き立てるベースビールをチェリー果汁とブレンドすると、バランスのよい味わいの、鮮やかな赤い色が美しく、酸味のチェリーフレーバーが美味しいビールが生まれます。ダークチェリーの深く赤がとてもキレイなビールです。
アルコール度数は4.2%と低めですので、長い時間をかけてゆっくり、そして、じっくりお楽しみいただくのにピッタリなビールといえるでしょう。チェリーホーン™のフルーティーさに特にピッタリなのは、ピッツァ イタリアン、ピッツァ ビアンカ、そしてホット・スピナッチ・チーズディップ。また、特製 若鶏の直火ローストも相性がバッチリです！これらのアイテムとともに、是非チェリーホーン™をお楽しみいただければ、と思います。

Is Spring already over in Tokyo? It has been rather hot! However did you get to enjoy Cherry Blossoms in a garden or a park? If not, (perhaps even if you did) head over to The Beer Horn™ in Akasaka to enjoy our Belgian-Styled Cherry Horn™. It will lift your spirits and surprise you with the explosive flavor of Spring.
In Belgium, the traditional Cherry Lambic Beers are produced using a very unique “Wild” fermentation based on the yeasts and other micro-flora that inhabit the air and surfaces of the local breweries that produce these beers. There are many Belgian breweries that brew fruit-based beers. These breweries produce fruit beers that are based on a combination of natural fruit extracts and base-beers that are specifically brewed for blending. When brewing and blending is complete, these Belgian fruit beers are very similar to the traditional Lambic fruit beers and are a delight to drink.
Our Cherry Horn™ is based on the second method of producing Belgian-styled fruit beer. We use a special mix of malt and hops to create a base beer that is very tart and dry and compliments the real-fruit cherry extract that we select. The blending of our cherry and specialty beer produces a well-rounded, naturally bright-red beer with a tart-cherry flavor reminiscent of deep-dark cherries.
It has a low alcohol content of 4.2% which allows this to be a nice session beer. The fruit characteristics make the Cherry Horn™ extremely well suited to our Italian and Bianca pizzas as well as our Hot Spinach Cheese Dip. Cherry Horn™ will go on sale at The Beer Horn™ in Akasaka on Friday, April 10th. As always, this is a Limited Edition Seasonal Beer and when it is gone, it will not be available again until we produce it again, hopefully next year!
